The Tri-Cities Model Railroad Association is constructing a new model railroad
in a portion of the old baggage room of the Grand Island Burlington depot.
The open area in the middle of the photo will be the site of a steel helix that was being
constructed off site. An engine facility and roundhouse are planned for the area to the right
of the people in the photo, on the lower level. The group will be modeling the Grand Island area
and will feature trains from the Chicago Burlington and Quincy, the Union Pacific
and predecessor railroads from the local area.
