As many of you know, your editor is also part of the Pacific Locomotive Association Mechanical Department. On April 5th, the steam crew woke the Quincy RR #2 from her winter slumber and tested all the repairs and improvements we'd madesince last steam season. She ran well all day, and was patient with the many novice engineers who tried their hands at the throttle. Here she's taking a breather and allowing all the 'foamers' to get their portraits taken with the grand old lady on a warm spring day.
