Historically, we have been required to close our front door during the small animal exhibit changeover, and fire regulations do not permit us to be open to the public with only one building exit available. With that in mind, the schedule above is intended to minimize hassles for both the animal exhibitors and the ACCRS.

Slogan trivia:
Can you associate the slogans below with their railroads?
The answers appear at the end of this issue.
DCC Operations are scheduled for on Saturday 06/26, Sunday 07/04, and Saturday 07/10. The rest of the fair will be Analog operation. After the Fair the normal every-other-week rotation begins with July 16th and 30th being DCC nights.
From the HO Trainmaster:
Hello "HO" Members,
First I would like to thank all of you who have signed up for the working days at the Fair. It looks like we have great participation and all days seemed to be covered. Let's hope for a good run and a great turnout. Most of you have put in a lot of time and great effort to have some new additions to our "HO" layout. You've done a great job. Hope all of you have smooth running with your equipment. I'm sure we will, as in the past, entertain the folks passing through.
We'll see you at the Fair.
Andy Herrera
HO Trainmaster
From the O Scale Trainmaster:
Annual Meet, August:
Our fourth annual midsummer meet will be held on Sunday, August 8. This is a
chance for vistors to operate their equipment on the ACCRS layout, and enjoy the good company of other Northern California O scalers. We will have trading tables
for private and small dealer sales, but no large commercial dealers can
be accommodated. And as usual, we will have a BBQ luncheon at a
modest price. So, spread the word. The turnout for this unadvertised event always amazes me.
George Cumming
O Scale Trainmaster
O Scale member and Master Model Railroader Bill Kinnerly, who suffered a stress fracture in his leg in April, has recently been released home from his long stay in the hospital. He reports limited but improving mobility. No word yet when he'll be able to attend club nights, so if you get the chance, drop him a phone call and wish him well.

Recieved just before the Fair from Yvonne Olsen:
"Ken will not be working at the Fair this year as he had a massive stroke on May 13th and is still in the hospital. He will have to go to a skilled nursing facility for physical and occupational therapy for the next 3 to 6 months." |
O Scale member Dick Stark may be a stranger for a while; his father is doing poorly and Dick expects to spend quite a lot of time with him over the next few months.
Bob Bunch has been seen around the O Scale layout lately; here's hoping that things are looking up for him after the rough period he's gone through. Be sure and welcome him back when you see him. Glad have you back, Bob!
Horizon Hobby has acquired Model Die Casting / Roundhouse. Horizon Hobby also recently bought up Athearn.
