This B-25J-32, S/N 44-86772, was accepted by the USAAF on 28 June 1945 and was
immediately placed in storage. In 1960 the plane was modified to be a cargo hauler and
was used in Argentina for a couple of years until a forced landing damaged the plane
sufficently that it was no longer airworthy. Nearly 30 years later the plane was recovered
and restored by an individual in Florida. The B-25 was subsequently traded to the
USAF museum system and it was assigned to the Hill Aerospace Museum collection.
